Have you noticed how strange it is that we dance to the tune of our mind, which dances to the tune of all the invisible
puppetmasters of conditioning. The consumer world is a great example, "How have you lived without an electric toothbrush??"
Very few seem to want to change their mind, as opposed to changing the circumstances that produce the discomfort in the mind, brought about by not having
the afforementioned toothbrush.
Is this because they do not realise it the mind is at fault? Or is it because they do, but to change ones mind is harder than buying into what ever is being expected of them.
(following the consumer model here)

Assuming you're following this line of reason, It seems reasonable to further question every other motivation and impulse that moves us humans.
Which inevitably points towards ones own mind, and the control therein.
Mind is a word like 'Soul or Spirit or Love,' pretty nebulous and open to interpretation, so a definition is a good idea.
- Concious, Unconcious and a whole menagery of classifications are on offer, what is being referred to here is the concious mind, which is also
part and parcel of the personality/ego.
The Unconcious is just that! You can not know it, but it seems as if that is where the action is.
The bodys physical functions ie; blood movement, digestion etc. are all done by a deeper level of you, it runs without your involvement,
which is wonderfull except when it makes instinctual demands on you like the mating call, then again you are back to this, blindly obeying something
other than your own concious. (of course socially acceptable behaviour stops you acting out the call of the libido there and then on the object of your desire.)

Charming! The mad mind does seem a bit out of control, A bit??
Have you really fully appreciated how mad it is?
Actually 99% of the time it seems to be in only 4 catagories..'the past, the future' and 'pleasure or pain'
so you get such great repeating tapeloops in the mind as 'Jeeze i regret that___incedent' or 'oh that was such a heavenly experience, i wish i could repeat it'
Alternatively the 'uh oh future ___ event is coming up, and its going to be sooooo bad' or 'yippee, future ___ event is going to be such pleasure'
Would appear that staying in the present moment fully, is a good solution.
It is suggested it is more than that, it is the cure for all that ails you.

Still haven't told me the meaning of life yet!!!
Yes, true, let's go and see if the present moment leads you, not only out of the mire of your mind but ultimately leads you to 'It'
